USS Ponce LPD-15.jpg (17870 bytes) The Amphibious Transport Dock USS Ponce (LPD-15) heading up the Elizabeth River for a four month maintenance availability at Metro Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA. Ponce was in yard hands until 16 May, spending the rest of the year in Carribean and local operations. The ship's next Mediterranean deployment took place during 7 March to 7 September 1990, followed by another during 20 June to 20 December 1991.
